Getting to Estartit - Estartit Travel Guide
By Car
You can drive to Estartit via Calais. Take the main road to the North or East of Paris down the length of France to Perpignan. From there cross the Pyrenese Mountains into Spain and make the short journey from there to Estartit. The distance from Calais is about 800 miles and it takes about 20 hours without a stop. There are plenty of Discount Hotel Reservations for overnight stops.
By Air
Girona Airport is less than an hour from Estartit. Ryanair fly there from Stansted, Birmingham, Bournemouth and Glasgow. From Girona there is a local coach (Ampsa) service to Estartit. The coach transfers to Estartit cost about £5 per person, a taxi is about £40 each way. Flights also go to Barcelona, which is about 2 hours from Estartit. Car Hire is the best way to get to Estartit from Barcelona, but you can catch the train to a town about 25 minutes from Estartit and catch a taxi from there.
